The Huangpu River is one of the earliest artificially dredged rivers in Chinese history.

The Yangpu Bridge and the Nanpu Bridge across the banks of the Pujiang River are like two giant dragons lying on the Huangpu River. The two bridges and the Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower standing on the east bank of the Pujiang River form a huge picture of the “Two Dragons Play Pearls”.
